AvAI is a safety companion app. When you schedule a check-in, AvAI's servers will alert your emergency contact if you don't check in on time. The servers run in multiple locations to keep working when one fails, but AvAI is operated by a small team and may have outages of hours or days. Use AvAI as one layer of your safety practice, not your only layer. Always carry a second safety plan — partner check-ins, satellite messenger (SPOT, Garmin inReach), filed trip plan, formal training.

Email [email protected] for help with the app, your account, an alert that fired, or anything else. We're a small team: expect a reply within a few business days, sometimes longer. If someone may be in danger right now, contact your local emergency services or search & rescue directly — support email is not an emergency channel.
About the current beta
AvAI is in beta. Do not rely on it as your only safety system. The check-out/check-in feature is being tested for reliability — bring a satellite communicator or radio for any backcountry trip.
AvAI is currently distributed through TestFlight and Play Internal testing. If service is interrupted, armed check-outs may not be watched during the outage — fall back to your second safety plan.
Your data
The Privacy Policy describes what we collect and why. You can request deletion of your data at any time, with or without a portal account.
